do you ever "google" ridiculous questions?

i have my internet browser open pretty much the whole time i'm at work. it just sits minimized all day. i always crack myself up when i'm checking my mail or whatever, and then i see my last query up in the google search bar. it's like WOW. i was in an entirely different frame of mind when i did that search. my latest question was, "are vampires real?"

do you have a messy desk?

my desk is always messy while i'm working because i have notes and snacks all over the place. i always put everything away before i go home, though.

What would you do?

The 4th gear of my car is broken. It is going to cost $2,300 (dealership charges ~$6,000) for the mechanic to rebuild my tranmission. Would you pay to get your car fixed (it's already 10 years old) or would you just look for a new/used car? My coworker also brought up the idea of leasing a car. I really don't know what to do. The mechanic also doesn't recommend driving the car around because it can lock up at any moment.

We are in the middle of a snow storm. We had to drop PJ off at the airport and Silla at Alyssa's house... what an adventure. On our way home, PJ called and said that his flight got canceled. As we were trying to drop Silla off, we got stuck and called off the sleepover. We headed back to the airport and picked up PJ. Ryan was determined to get Silla to Alyssa so we tried again and were able to make it to the end of her street so they walked it. There were so many stranded cars and roads that were just impossible to drive on. We were out for 3 hours but Im just glad everyone is safe and happy! By the way - this snow is crazy!

What are your plans for Presidents Day weekend?

I plan on doing my taxes, cleaning the condo, and then spending time with a friend who's visiting from San Jose. She's going to stay with me Saturday night to Monday night. If the weather is nice on Monday, we want to go hiking in the Hollywood Hills.

What are you doing for 4th of July?

Im spending it with the two best sisters and boys & little girls in the whole world (hopefully!!!) I am ex-cite-ted!

Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?

I talked to Ryan because he told me he came back to the house to give me the stroller but I already left. I can go days without getting a phone call (except Silla and Ryan) but Im ok with that. I don't really enjoy chatting for hours on the phone... in person yes.

How ya doin?

PJ just got to town today so I'm happy to have a house guest. Other than that, I'm doing great. Working, blogging, about to do some grocery shopping and attend parent/teacher conferences at Silla's school.

What are your plans for Valentines Day?

We are going to steam some lobsters. I cant wait to eat them up.

How is your Saturday going?

I just woke up from a nap and it felt terrific. We had a company event on a frozen lake this morning so I was exhausted. Ryan and I dropped the girls off at Vicky's house and headed over to Wayzata to volunteer. There were a ton of people on a lake golfing with tennis balls. My company sponsored a hole. It was so cold and when I came home my sock was wet. Gross huh?

have you ever witnessed a car accident?

uhh, i just did! on the way to work there was a major accident two cars behind me. MAJOR accident. just like when i was rear-ended two days ago, i had to come to a complete stop again. i've been having a scary vision the past two nights of me just sitting there on the freeway looking in my rear view mirror and seeing the guy who hit me coming at me much faster than he actually did in real life. but yeah, it was a gradual stop this time. i was just staring in my rear view mirror imagining that someone was gonna come crashing into me, but the car behind me stopped gradually, too. then outta nowhere i see this big truck flying at us!!! it SHOULD have hit the car behind me, which for sure would have hit me, too. but instead the truck swerved into the carpool lane. a car was minding its own business in the carpool lane but crashed into the truck. at full speed. omg so scary. please say a prayer for them because it did NOT look okay. there were at least 5 cars involved. and the car in the carpool lane was totalled.

i know i should have stayed but i was so scared. i just wanted to get as far away as possible. PLEASE drive safely! i can't shake the feeling that something much worse might happen. be careful. =(

how often do you buy gas?

now that my commute is about 61 miles per day, i have to fill up my car with gas every 6.5 days.

have you ever been rear-ended?

uhh, i was like 30 minutes ago! there was an accident on the other side of the freeway so all the dummies on my side of the freeway were driving all ridiculous. i had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of me, and the guy behind me wasn't able to stop on time. we pulled over to exchange info and he apologized over and over. i am fine, and the only thing on my car that got messed up was my bumper. the screws from his license plate left an imprint my bumper, but that's about it. his front bumper looks much worse than mine. it's all warped.

scary!! thank God it wasn't that big of a deal.

what color shirt are you wearing?

im wearing yellow. i've been wearing the most random outfits lately since most of my regular clothes have still not been unpacked.

Do you know how to solve a peg board?

Well a couple weeks ago I made one in Tech Ed and figured out a way to solve it! Ill post a video of me doing it sometime.

When was the last time you went to a waterpark?

We went to the WaterPark of America yesterday and had a good time. It was tiring and fun at the same time. We took Serena on this ride that was pretty intense but we made it out OK. Spent a lot of time on the lazy river where Serena dozed off for a little bit and played in the wave pool for a while too. Good times!

What are your plans in exactly 5 months?

I have two days off for the 4th of July. Minnesota trip anyone? I'm thinking about going...

When was the last time you fell down?

I fell down the stairs about two or three months ago and it hurt bad! I have these socks that are "slippery" and when I stepped on the edge of the step, I slipped and fell on my butt. It was sore for a good week after that. Ryan was actually at the bottom of the stairs watching me too. Not cute!

What do you usually eat for lunch?

I usually eat a lean cuisine. I try to pack leftovers but it seems to be really hard for me do actually do. Like yesterday, I have nothing to eat today so I think Im going to go downstairs and buy a $10 sandwich. It tastes really good, its just really expensive.
